Dr. Baiamonte’s method, based on an innovative approach to statistical thermodynamics, applies classical theory to our energy needs. This method identifies the basal metabolic rate (BMR) as the “best friend” and ally of our organism and well-being. The BMR works for us even when we are at rest, without us noticing it. However, we become aware of it because we slim down in the process. This diet does not rely on physical exertion, particularly when it is intended solely for calorie consumption. Instead, it triggers the basal metabolic rate, which acts like a boiler, burning excess calories and leading to a natural drop in weight.

About the Author:

SALVATORE BAIAMONTE lives in Sicily (Italy) where he works both as a biologist and lawyer. He has been involved in food safety as a consultant for various food companies, as well as managing his own scientific laboratory for the analysis of water and foods. A the same time he is a nutritionist and author of many books on human nutrition, in which he explains his own dietary method. When he is not wearing his white coat, Dr. Baiamonte puts on the black gown with extreme ease to run in court and devote himself to criminal cases, which continue to thrill him.
