Shat Panchashika

A masterclass in the ancient art of horary astrology (Prashna), Shat Panchashika-literally "The Fifty- Six Verses"-is a foundational text penned by the sage Prithuyashas, son of the legendary astronomer Varahamihira. This concise yet profound manual serves as an essential guide for astrologers, offering a pure, indigenous system that predates later Tajik and Yavan influences.

The work methodically unlocks the "subtle nuances of horary astrology". It meticulously expounds on planetary significations and house significators, teaching practitioners to interpret the influences of gentle and cruel planets on personal affairs. Beyond technical rules, it provides practical instructions for decision-making, detailing criteria for travel safety, the timing of Vedic rituals, and the use of yantras, all while emphasizing the role of divine grace in prediction. This timeless classic is indispensable for anyone seeking to master the science of cosmic timing.
