It become imperative to put emphasis on good early childhood education which would lay the foundation for the competent human resource development. An appropriate human resource development is a prerequisite for the development of a nation. The present book is a serious effort in the development of pre-school education. Here various western and Indian philosophies regarding to early childhood are discussed, various types of pre-school are described,the school infrastructure and corners, principal of pre-school programme planing, various types of time table, teaching aids materials, curriculum and lesson plan, organization of parents meeting, pre-school project proposal and its legal process are major parts of present books. Efforts are also being made to give real and latest data of Indian Education.

Dr. (Mrs.) Premlata Maisnam (born 1st March, 1967 ) is at present Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Manipur University, Chanchipur, Imphal (Manipur) is M. A., Ph. D. in Education. She has a teaching experience of about 20 years to graduate and P. G. level. At present, she is engaged with a Major Research Project sponsored by U. G. C. By now, she has the credit of publishing six papers in reputed Journals with ISSN and eleven papers were included in various edited books with ISSN. To her credit, there are five published books (i) Quality Concerns in Education, (ii) Educational Concepts of Mahatma Gandhi,(iii) Health Education, (iv) Educare and (v) Population Development and Education. She has participated in about 15 international and national level seminars and conferences. She is the life and term member of five Associations-India Science Congress Association, Kolkata, Global Education Research Association (GERA) Psycholinguistics Association of India (PLAI), Agra, Indian Psychometric and Educational Research Association (IPERA), Patna, and Praachi Psycho-cultural Research Association, Meerut. She is the Member of Governing Council of IPERA and PLAI. On the basic of her grand achievements and committed contributions, she has obtained eight prestigious honours and awards.
