The Bharata-Manjari of Ksemendra is a long poem based on the Mahabharata. The author has left out certain portions of the original epic and modified others. In place of about a lac of the original verses he has summed up the whole matter in 10,692 verses. The poet has rearranged the contents in certain cased. For example the episode of club-duel between Bhima and Duryodhana has been torn form the Salya Parvan of the original and described in what he calls Gada Parvan.
