Book Description:
That we Indians are blessed with ancestors who had extensive knowledge of an ex-tremely wide range of subjects such as mathematics, astronomy, acoustics, metallurgy, metrology, medicine, architecture, civil engineering, town planning, sanitation man-agement, grammar, philosophy etc., is amply evidenced by the several extremely ancient archaeological findings, monuments, ancient universities, manuscripts found in India as well as abroad, and also by numerous other forms of evidence. Veracity and dating is supported by carbon dating, genetic studies, optically stimulated luminescence, thermoluminescence, and astronomical observations found in the innumerable texts as also various other scientific methods of evaluation.
My book is based chiefly on the published works of a number of eminent and well-known present-day scholars, who, between them, represent 45 different fields of scholarship. While a vast majority of them are Indians and Indian diaspora, many are non-Indians from a number of the western and eastern countries. They are alumni or/and professors, or scientists, at the highly reputed institutions of education and research in India and abroad.
To sum up, the objective of this book is to provide valid and verifiable information about our intellectual heritage, very ancient, very Indian, which we can well be proud of, without being disrespectful to any other civilisation.
