    Neuropsychology is a discipline of the study of cognitive emotional and behavioural properties of the brain and assessment of their impairments and retraining efforts for restoration of impaired functions and rehabilitation of affected person. The book encompasses these areas including the assessment of neuropsychological dysfunction and rehabilitation techniques used in different neuropsychological functional domains. It is indeed  a unique attempt. There has been a demand for such book in the field, mainly by Indian authors to highlight the techniques of assessment and rehabilitation of neuropsychological functions.     About the Author(s)

    Dr. Vibha Sharma a post graduate (1989) and Ph.D (1997) in psychology from Dayalbagh Education Institute (Deemed University), Agra; obtained her professional degree M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychiatry; Ranchi University. She served in various capacities at different institute from 1992 to 2004 Currently she is working as faculty member (from the year 2004 Onwards ) in the department clinical psychology, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Science, Delhi. She is thoroughly involved in Patient care, training of Clinical Psychologists, other categories of Professional, research and community oriented services. For her valuable contributed to the discipline she has been awarded by various professional association including ‘Young Scientist award’ by Indian Science Congress. Currently she is fellow and life member of 14 scientific bodies. She has produced 4 Ph. D.s under her supervision. She is also supervising 3-4 dissertations per year of M.Phil. Clinical Psychology at IHBAS. (2005 onwards ). There are 40 publications to her credit, published in various scientific Journals including 9 chapters published in the books with wide readership.

     Till date she has participated as presenter / invited speaker / resource person in around 80 national, international conference / seminars / workshops / symposiums and short term training programmes. Latest one is her presentation in the annual conference of British psychological Society : Clinical Psychology Division ( held at London ) on Neuro psychology, Spirituality and Mental health.

     

    Shahzadi Malhotra  a postgraduate in psychology (2005) from (University of Delhi) obtained her professional degree M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (University of Delhi) from institute of human Behaviour and Allied Science in the year 2007. As per special area of interest in special Education and Psychosocial Rehabilitation she thoroughly area of interest in special Education and Psychosocial Rehabilitation she thoroughly devoted herself to this area and obtained Post graduate Diploma in special Education From University of Delhi . Her area of specialization is cognitive retraining and neuropsychological rehabilitation.

     She served reputed special Education and Neuropsychiatry centers of Delhi in the capacity of Consultant Clinical Psychologist and also provided her services as clinical Psychologist to the Department of Neurology and Department of Clinical Psychology at IHBAS Delhi. Currently (from the year 2010 onwards ) she is serving Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya; a reputed hospital for children of Govt. of NCT of Delhi as faculty : Assistant Professor of clinical Psychology .

     Till date there are 27 publications to her credit published in various National and international journals, including chapters in books. In a brief period of her professional career she participated and presented 21 research papers in various national and international conferences . She was awarded for her valuable contribution to the discipline by reputed professional associations including Indian Psychiatric Society-North Zone.
