The Yoga Diary is a record of reflections that have occurred to the speaker over time in his long meditative walks in nature. A deconstructionist in every sense, he does not hold and endorse any idea or thought. Many of the reflections recorded in the Diary are radical, unconventional, and unorthodox. He debunks spirituality. These scrappy writings, pregnant with profound meaning, merit readings and re-readings, and deep reflection. They are not to be treated as mere thoughts. These reflections inspired him to post a reflection every day on WhatsApp. When the postings covered over 400 days, readers suggested he should compile them into a book form to reach millions across the globe. Hence, this modest attempt! The speaker seeks no accolades, recognition, or applause for this task, nor does he expect the readers to agree or disagree with him. Both agreement and disagreement, he considers, are fatal and only repeat our defective framework loop. Instead, he wishes every reader should contemplate these radical reflections with no conclusions.

About the Author:

K.V. RAGHUPATHI, Ph.D., belonging to a Telugu-speaking family, took an interest in Yoga and spirituality at an early age without a guru by leaving home at eighteen (1974). As an ardent Sadhaka in Patanjali’s Yogic tradition spanning over four decades, he has been transmitting his radical outlook on Yoga and spirituality in writing, publishing, delivering lectures, and attending philosophical/spiritual discussions. He calls his entry into Yogic life an “accidental fall”. He has over thirty books that include important books on Yoga and Spirituality: My Tryst with Yoga and Other Essays (2018), Yoga for Peace (2007/2019), Yoga and Zen (2007), and Dispersing Clouds: Discourses on Yoga (2022). In addition, he is well known for his uncanny mystical poetry (thirteen collections to date) endowed with rich philosophy, mystical/transcendental thoughts, romantic elements, and dense imagery. He taught at three universities, S.V. University, Tirupati (1997-2007), Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa (2007-2011), and the Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur (2011-2019) before he settled in Tirupati.
