How to Judge a Horoscope (Vol. 1): I to VI Houses

How to Judge a Horoscope is a departure from the conventional method of treating astrology. It is a study of the use of the horoscope in every man's daily life. The work, in two volumes, is divided according to the twelve houses, with six houses discussed in each volume in consecutive order. The twelve houses refer to the material relationship of the soul (jiva) in its journey from the cradle to the grave. The study of the illustrations (charts) makes every point-even the omitted rudimentary principles and rules-very clear and easy to understand.

Volume I deals with Houses I to VI.

The First House deals with the beginning of life, childhood, health, the physical body, and character.

The Second House represents family, face, the right eye, food, manners, and the source of wealth.

The Third House rules brothers and sisters, intelligence, courage, and other immediate relations.

The Fourth House indicates peace of mind, home life, land and ancestral property, education, and the neck and shoulders.

The Fifth House signifies children, intelligence, emotions, and fame.

The Sixth House rules debts, enemies, miseries, sorrows, illness, and disappointments.
